Project Overview

Monroe County Children’s Center is a Design/Bid/Build project that consist of a Phase 1 – renovation and a Phase 2 – construction for an addition.

Professional Systems Engineering, LLC is engineering and consulting for security systems and security fencing for the Monroe County Children’s Center a Design/Bid/Build project for an addition and renovation project which adding specialized secure detention (SSD) Housing to the existing JDC building.

Phase 1, included an approximately a 3,000 SF of renovation in Buildings 67 to add a 10-Bed Male Adolescent Offender (AO) Unit. It included security hardening renovations in Building 68 for a 5-Bed Female AO Unit. The construction budget for Phases 1 was approximately $3.5 million.

Phase 2 will include an approximately 37,000 SF addition to Building 67. The addition included housing units, admissions, medical, visitation, gym, program space, and kitchen/dining. Their site modifications included new security fencing. The construction budget for Phases 2 is approximately $24 million.
