Co-op/Extern Engineering Designer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our staff of professionals and engineers specialized in the application of the newest security and building protection technologies available.

Openings are available for co-op student(s) majoring in EE or ME or a new grad seeking an externship who can work in Auto-CAD or have worked previously for an A/E/P/C firm utilizing design software programs.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for assisting engineers with CAD and Revit drawings, schedules, reports, and code research.
  • Work under the design team for the production of the company’s deliverables.
  • Assist with field surveys, assessment, studies, and research.
  • Prepare agendas, minutes, technical reports and correspondence.
  • Works from mark-ups of design drawings, tables, and reports and achieves basic accurac.
  • Applies standard practices and techniques.
  • Work on projects that protect and enhance lives.
  • Enjoys coming together as a team member and then, working independently on your contribution to the overall project.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enrolled in or newly graduated from an accredited BS program in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Prior experience in engineering, design and construction, architectural a plus.
  • Fluent in or quickly pick-up working ability to design in AutoCAD, 3-D BIM, and/or Revit.
  • Communicates on all platforms, Slack, Zoom, Text, Write-ups, Emails, Hybrid/Flexible.
