Project: Integrated Corrections Based Security & Safety Design Services

Scope of Work: Professional System Engineering, LLC (PSE) provided specialized corrections consulting to the design team. This includes compliance with United Nations standards for those in detention and/or under government/justice incarceration. Additional compliance with ACA standards, while meeting scrutiny of amnesty international, added challenges to this massive project. Recommendations included architectural planning, functional flow, recommended M/E/P standards, and coordinating with all trades to ensure all designs, products, and equipment specified for this project met U.S. and International Standards for prisons and correctional facilities.

PSE provides consulting, design, and documentation services for electronic security, communications technologies, fire prevention, fire detection, perimeter fencing and lighting, detention hardware, detention openings, detention glazing, and software systems for the Project. PSE acted in the capacity of planning, security, communications and hardware specialists from the schematics through design phases including development of complete design documents, specifications, and hardware schedules.
