Scope of Work: A two phase 4 year project included a new housing and program space structure while all systems were renovated in the existing facility during Phase II work.
Security, fire alarm, and data/telecommunication systems for a new 330,000 sq. ft., 5-story, 500-bed addition to this corrections facility were completed as Phase I work for $8 million.
Phase I:
- Jail, correctional and justice consulting
- Planning and professional estimating services
- Consulting, design, engineering, and construction administration
- Life safety/fire alarm system including proprietary monitoring, digital network, prison grade, network interfacing
- Touch screen network, CCTV, cell locking, and door control
- Intercom, paging, card access, digital recording, audio and wired duress system
- Control room design/layout: master control and 12 housing units
- Commissioning and close-out services
The renovation of security and fire alarm systems in two existing facilities and interfacing to new building system was the second phase valued at $7 million.
Phase II:
- Replacement of two existing control centers into one new Master Control Center (MCC)
- New PLC system with fiber optic network and PC touch screens
- Motorola radio system on existing city-wide wireless network
- Digital intercom/paging systems interfaced to new integrated system
