The new state-of-the-art 12-story, 360,000 sq. ft. courthouse will have the latest in networking high-tech audio-video systems inside courtrooms, including a transcription recording system and touch screens used to control audio and video.

Amtrak 9-1-1
Nationwide
Amtrak to replace its Emergency 9-1-1 Dispatch center with a modern system that will cover no less than 15 cities and nearly 150 operators. PSE’s designs allow for adaptation with evolving technology to serve current and future needs.

Bergen County Juvenile Campus
Teterboro, New Jersey
Complex, or campus, of County programs having to do with Juvenile security. Juvenile detention center, shelter, and training center includes electronic security control systems, tele/data infrastructure, distribute TV cable system, and provisions for video arraignment.

BHC Securities
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
With 31 networks, high speed mainframe computer center, 24 position call/trade room and 30,000 sq. ft. of technical/administrative support, this client required advanced design, procurement and construction support. Integration included connectivity from full e-commerce to standard analog voice transactions. Included were high fire protection system designs, security/card access and audio/visual/video systems consulting.

Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center (CTPHC)

A maximum security facility, is referred to as Maryland’s forensic psychiatric hospital, housing one of the most violent populations of any state. The phased implementation of security renovations offers the ability to conduct business as usual while upgrades are completed.

EOC fitout to meet and be able to activate all components of the NIMS for National Incident Management compliance.

Hicksville Parking Facility
Town of Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York
Security, fire detection, and electronic systems for the Town of Oyster Bay’s Hicksville New Parking Facility. The facility is a 4-tier structure of approximately 122,000 sq. ft. per tier for a total of 488,000 sq. ft. The new structure will have two levels below ground, one at grade level, and one above ground. It will park approximately 1,400 vehicles. The designs consist of the latest IP-based video surveillance, access control, and emergency call systems as well as a Distributed Antenna System (DAS).

Essex County Correctional Facility
New Jersey
One of the largest single jail complexes in the US received over 50,000 twisted pair and fiber connections for digital PBX, switched networks, high security touch control communication and advanced video-over-twisted-pair transmission for over 500 video links. Complete infrastructure design was included.

Kent County Courthouse Complex
Dover, Delaware
Courtroom technology including video display for each courtroom position, evidence presentation systems, video annotation system, court reporting system, courtroom audio recording system, touchscreen A/V control system, and digital matrix audio mixing system.

Lexington-Fayette Detention Center
Lexington, Kentucky
This $60 million facility, built in 18 months, required complete universal wiring infrastructure including fiber optics, ATM, twisted pair and redundant source distribution. Included were 24 video arraignment systems, over 3000 digital termination outlets, digital PBX, digital video editing/broadcast suite, and full level 3 to high speed ATM/fiber loop for city connectivity. A complete RFP was prepared for the equipment budget of $1.6 million and infrastructure costs of over $400,000.

Maryland House of Corrections
Jessup, Maryland
Full programmatic site infrastructure design including multiway duct distribution for telephony, data, criminal information gateways, and secure inmate telephone systems. Designs ranged from environmental communications vault design to complete 60 acre distribution system serving five institutions with over 40 buildings as outside plant facilitation.

National Museum of American Jewish History
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The five-story 100,000 sq. ft. design is as remarkable as the data/voice/video capabilities of the site to manage both historic content and museum transactions.

Niagara Falls Police and Courts
Niagara Falls, New York
The new, $47 million 135,000 square-foot, LEED-certified Municipal Complex is occupied by various departments including: courts and judicial, police, administration, and detention, each having overlapping security needs.

Ocean County Jail

New Jersey
Electronic security, master control center, communications, and fire protection/fire alarm/life safety services, consulting, design, engineering, construction administration and commissioning services. Renovations including the existing medium and maximum three-story structures. The new addition will add additional housing to include 400+ beds plus numerous workplace and program space upgrades. Communication infrastructure will provide proper distribution of voice/data/video/fax service, MATV, and video visitation systems.

Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA)
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Security, data/telecommunications, and A/V design consultant on the $30 million renovation/expansion project.

Princeton Theological Seminary – Multiple Projects
Princeton, New Jersey
Integrated infrastructure in five dormitory buildings and 25 low-rise garden apartment buildings included digital fire monitoring, telecommunications, internet connectivity, switched ethernet, satellite TV and complete infrastructure design including outside plant development. Our library project included advanced high speed scholar access networks, computer labs, internet research spaces and mainframe connectivity. Included were high risk fire protection designs for archival protection of irreplaceable manuscripts from the Fifteenth Century and museum quality artifacts from biblical times.

Rhode Island Youth Detention Center
Cranston, Rhode Island
Design, engineering, and construction administrative services for the security systems and tele/data systems for systems for the state-of-the-art 96,000 sq. ft., 96-bed Youth Development Facility (YDF) which serves as a treatment center for boys and the 33,000 sq. ft., 52-bed Youth Assessment Facility (YAF) a detention center for the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF).

Rutgers University
Sites Throughout New Jersey
PSE has provided communications infrastructure development in several dozen buildings totaling over three million square feet. Designs were rendered for telephone, data, Internet, cable TV, digital fire alarm/smoke detection and facility monitoring.

Science Park High School

New Jersey
Supplied digital data design, educational technology, consulting, and engineering services for this state-of-the-art 250,000 square foot high school with student capacity of 1,200.

SCI Skippack Township East and Township West Facilities
Skippack,
Pennsylvania
Two facilities will be constructed in a design/build effort at the site of the existing SCI Graterford with a proposed capacity of 4,100 beds. SCI Skippack Township East will be a 2,100-bed, maximum-security prison; and SCI Skippack Township West will be a 2,000-bed, medium-security prison.0

Western Correctional Institution/512 Cell Maximum Security Facility
Cumberland, Maryland
The initial $100 million project required complete communications infrastructure, outside plant development for telephone, data, criminal information database connectivity, resident information systems, fire, security and proprietary network connectivity. The next project (Years 2000 – 2004) required complete outside plant development to complement the existing 30 acre site – eventually expanding the complex to 60 acres.
